Bicycle tour on the tracks of the Ironman - Challenge Roth

 Roth, a little franconian city near Nuremberg with a great athletic reputation, is the stage of one of the greatest triathlon events in the whole of Europe every year.

Our approximately 89 km (53 miles) long bicycletour starts in Eckersmühlen and passes through Wallesau –> Laffenau –> Heideck –> Seligenstadt –> Alfershausen –> Thalmässing –> Greding -> Röckenhofen -> Obermässing -> Karm -> Weinsfeld -> Eysölden -> Tiefenbach -> Unterrödel -> Hilpoltstein -> Solar -> Pierheim -> Mörlach Hilpoltstein -> Heuberg -> Haimpfarrich -> Eckersmühlen.

Those who still have some strength in their legs will be rid of it by the last 9 km (5.6 miles) from Eckersmühlen to Roth.

This circuit rides through a hilly territory with gradients from 6 to 12%.

Serious gradients on this passage include the Seligstädter Berg in Heideck, the Kalvarienberg near Greding and, the absolute highlight, the Solarer Berg in Hilpoltstein.
