A very beautiful but, with its 6562 ft in altitude and 80 miles, long and difficult tour in Tuscany begins in Sovicille near Siena.

Sovicille is situated in Val di Merse, where the river Elsa has its source.

We start on a beautiful day in autumn.
 
Riding continuously up hill and down dale some steep climbs, we ride through an enchanting landscape.

On this stretch we pass picturesque Tuscan villages such as Casino, Casone, Casole d´Elsa, San Gimignago, Colle di Val d´Elsa and Simignano, before we finally reach Sovicille again, the starting point of this unique tour.
