Product information "Königsträssle in the Tannheimer Valley"

Starting point of this 41 mile long tour, where 3930 feet in altitude have to be overcome, is the Tyrol village Tannheim in the Tannheim Valley at 3599 ft above sea level.

The road first leads through the beautiful Tannheimer Valley on the B199 to Schattwald, the last village in this valley.

With inclines ranging between 5 - 10 % we then cycle along the scenic mountain pass up to the former German Customs Office Oberjoch at 3799 ft above sea level and then further via the border to Oberjoch (1.160 m) in the district Upper Allgäu.

After a right turn we now follow the B310 down to Unterjoch (3343 ft) and Pfeiffermühle (3205 ft). Here we leave the B310 and after a short but steep climb we ride via Jungholz (3815 ft) to Wertach (3002 ft), a well-known health-resort at the bottom of the 5702 high Grünten.

Kranzegg, Rettenberg and Burgberg in the Allgäu are the next villages to be passed before we reach the renowned winter sport resort Sonthofen (749 m).

Almost 5 miles are still to go until we reach Bad Hindelang, where at the end of the village the 4 mile long and up to 9% steep climb via the scenic Jochpass to Oberjoch begins.

The last 9 miles on the now following way back to Tannheim in the Tannheim Valley, the starting point of this very nice and not too difficult tour, are very relaxing.
